ABOUT ASHLYN

Radiating with passion, all the way from the Sunshine State, Ashlyn Baralt (now based in NY) is a multifaceted theatre artist full of dedication, charisma, and joy!

As a reliable theatre artist, she thrives in many different work environments. Ashlyn is always learning and improving her artistry, she strives to approach all her work from a place of respect, curiosity, commitment, and honesty!

Creating Art and making magic is what makes Ashlyn happy. She considers herself to be a “kind-hearted dodo bird”. She loves everything from traditional theatre to devising pieces of her own. You might find her in a ballgown reverently singing an Italian Arts song in the beautiful mountains of Italy, or covered in black paint, glitter, and baby powder making feisty statements for those around her. She truly loves it all!

Using a combination of many acting techniques including Suzuki, Stanislavski, Viewpoints, Chekov, Laban, and Uta Hagen; Ashlyn loves exploring both in-depth text analysis as well as the physical outside-in approach to dive into all characters she is portraying; to really connect with the audience on a personal and authentic level!

When Ashlyn is not in classes, rehearsals, or performing you can find her going thrift shopping, hanging out at museums and with friends as well as reading and binging some of her favorite TV shows and movies!

Her bubbly personality and empathetic nature has made her into a great team player, as well as an overall well-rounded person. She is passionate in advocating for all theatre inclusivity and accessibility especially through body positivity movements and LGBTQ+ representation. She knows how important it is to share these stories. She wants to change the world through her kindness and art!
